Founder and Speech Therapist
Jill Whitley was first introduced to the profession of Speech-Language Pathology as a mom. One of her three sons received speech services. As a home school mother for nine years, Jill was integrally involved with every element of her sons’ education and language development. It was this experience, along with Jill’s longstanding love of working with children, that inspired her to pursue a Master’s of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Arkansas. Having graduated in 2015, she went on to work in outpatient pediatric therapy, EIDT with UAMS Kids First, nursing home and acute care hospital settings.  Jill brings her motherly wisdom and insight as well as her substantial pediatric and adult fieldwork experience to Expressions Therapy Services.Â
Jill’s clinical fieldwork experience has included assessment and treatment of children and adults with feeding and swallowing issues and who utilize augmentative communication devices. Additionally, she has assessed and treated children and adults diagnosed with dysarthria, apraxia, voice disorders, fluency, cognitive-linguistic, memory, and hearing impairment. She has also supported pragmatic language and group therapy.
